Last week we built a retrospective tool live, from scratch but didn't get to use it for an actual retrospective. So this week we're going to run one together, and talk about what makes a retrospective worth the team's time in the first place. We'll look at why so many retros turn into complaint sessions, how to keep the focus on things the team can actually change, why kudos belong in every retrospective, and how to turn an improvement idea into an experiment where you can tell whether it worked. Then we'll talk about where AI fits. It can help a facilitator prepare, help quieter people get their thoughts together ahead of time, spot themes that keep coming back sprint after sprint, and turn a vague complaint into something you can measure. It can also make a retrospective worse if the team decides to just let the AI handle it. We'll cover both.
